LINUX gaming :: a myth that needs blasting !!
This post is aimed at blasting the myth that Linux is devoid of games. Its an abstract to the new “Linux +Gaming” page that I have setup..I personally love gaming. Its not just recreation, it can be taken as an excercise ( few of us even think of this ). Some of the best minds of the Software industry are engaged in making hard core games that can run youre adrenaline levels through the roof. CRYSIS being an example.. EA is one biiig example. Atari etc cant be forgotten.
A lot of people say,”Linux.. nah.. just programming.. for nerds/geeks.. we users cant use it.. aint got no games.. boring shit!! ” Well, apart from commenting that youre pretty wrong if you have that point of view, I’d give you something more.. You’ve heard of Fedora , Ubuntu.. What about LinuX-Gamers Live???? Details..??? Its a live cd that has ONLY games!!! No software, No web browsers, ONLY games. It’s live so doesnt need your precious disk space.
Also for people who want windows games on their Linux system, please use Wine.. Its a windows emulator that runs all windows applications on Linux. Fedora uses can install this using YUM itself.
