hey,

Log in as root in a terminal and try “system-config-network”. Here, select eth0 (your eth card), click Edit > uncheck “Activate device when computer starts”. Click OK, Save your settings using File>Save. Reboot and see if it works.

Even i have don the same but i opted the no while bootup. But still fedora waits for bsnl interface to come up which makes the start up procedure unnecessary slow while I don’t want this internet. Please help how to disable the this bsnl to come up while booting

good story, here’s my prelude to your story.
The ants were powerful and called themselves higher insects, they classify grasshoppers as lower insects. The ants make the grasshoppers feel low about themselves and do not allow them to do anything. Thousands of years pass and the grasshoppers completely forget their identity and are not able to feed themselves. Few ants and grasshoppers rise to the occasion and help the grasshoppers get back their identity by offering concessions. Now the ants cry foul. The ants have short term memory loss and completely forget their past.
Only if the ants have the patience and understanding, they can wait for some years and then the ants and the grasshoppers can together work and make the colony prosper.

Greetings because this things *did work*. I was able to see my phone memory and memory card files and folders. Things are quite simple.
However, i was a li’l disappointed, as i expected some Phonebook manager, contacts, sms etc. May be i expected too much.
BTW, i am on Nokia N79.
