History/Introduction..

No one needs to be told who Garfield our pal is..Just a household cat that loves to eat n be lazy.. and ofcourse, poke fun at others.. (dont forget Jon and Odie). As of 2007, it is syndicated in roughly 2,580 newspapers and journals and it currently holds the Guinness World Record for being the world’s most widely syndicated comic strip.( ^ Most Syndicated Comic Strip. A little on Garfields history..

The comic strip was created by Jim Davis and the first strip was published on June 19, 1978. Its been on since then..

Garfield.. Well.. all of you can describe him.. He’s 12 Kgs by the way..He was named after Jim Davis’ grandfather James A. Garfield Davis and his birthday happens to be on the 19th of June..
